SLAF Air Lifts Vital Human Organs

In keeping with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Sri Lanka Air Force and the Ministry of Health a Bell 412 helicopter transported two human Livers and a pair of kidneys from Polonnaruwa to Colombo yesterday (20 September 2020).
The Bell 412 Helicopter from the No 4 Squadron at SLAF Base Ratmalana successfully transported the human organs by air from the District General Hospital in Polonnaruwa to the Sri Lanka National Hospital in Colombo. By doing so time with respect to the transporting of these vital organs was saved there by providing the public with the advantage of speed which is one of the main capabilities of the SLAF.
