The SLAF Academy China Bay launched a cleaning programme along the coastal belt of Sri Lanka from the Uppuveli Beach area, Trincomalee under the directives of the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa with the participation of the Governor of the Eastern Province, Hon. Anuradha Yahampath as the Chief Guest today (23 September 2020).

This event was organized to contribute to the National Marine Resources Conservation Week that coincides with the International Coastal Cleanup Day-2020.

During the cleaning session Army, Navy, SLAF and Government Organizations were able to clean the entire beach area with Public Health Inspectors also extended their hands by cooperating with the SLAF to make the event a success.
