SLAF Base Hingurakgoda Hands Over a Newly Built House to a Needy Family

SLAF Base Hingurakgoda completed yet another Community Service Project with the blessing and guidance of the Diocesan Director of Pontifical Mission Societies Sri Lanka, Rev. Fr. Basil Rohan Fernando on 24 September 2020.
In a charming ceremony, the ownership of the newly built house was handed over to Mr. Ranjith Soyza and his family at Diyabeduma on the same day. The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Rev. Dr. Norbert M. Andradi, Bishop of Anuradhapura to mark the 175th International Jubilee Celebrations of the Holy Childhood Society.
The construction was completed under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering with the authority of the Commander of the Air Force. The entire labour force was provided by the Works section of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda under the supervision of the Base Commander, Group Captain NHDN Dias whilst the financial assistance was rendered by the Rev.Fr. Jude Saparamadu, Parish Priest, Christ the King Church, Hingurakgoda.
Base Commander of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, Rev. Fr. K. Lakshman, Diocesan Director of Pontifical Mission Societies, Rev. Fr. Basil Rohan Fernando, National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies, Sri Lanka and the representatives from Holy Childhood Society were also present for the ceremony.
