100 Civilians Quarantined at SLAF Quarantine Centre at Palaly Leave for Homes

100 civilians who were repatriated from South Korea were quarantined at the SLAF Quarantine Centre at Palaly completed the required period today (15 October 2020) and were sent home to their families. The Quarantine Centre at Palaly was established on the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias in order to support the government’s effort of controlling the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka.

The 100 civilians who were released today were made up of 100 males and they had completed 20 days at the Centre. On the instructions of the Commander, these civilians were provided with all required necessities to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

These civilians have been instructed to further self-quarantine themselves at home for a period of 14 days. The operation and management of the SLAF Quarantine Centre at Palaly was done under the supervision of the Acting Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palaly, Gp Capt WR De Zoysa and the staff of the Station.
