Change of Command at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo

The change of command at the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo was held Yesterday (13 November 2020).

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Vice Marshal Camillus Labrooy WWV, RSP, USP, MMS (Ind), ndc (Ban), hdmc handed over the duties to Air Vice Marshal AJ Amerasinghe  RSP, USP , MDS, MHRM, MSSD, BSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, ndc (Ban), psc.

The traditional Handing Over / Taking Over Parade was held where the Outgoing Commanding Officer thanked all service and civilian personnel for the support they extended to him during his tenure as the Commanding Officer. Air Vice Marshal Camillus Labrooy will take over the appointment of Deputy Director of Ground Operations.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
