4TH CONTINGENT OF SL AVIATION UNIT – UNMISS CONDUCTS SPECIAL COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

The 4th Contingent of the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit - United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) conducted a special Community Service Project at the Children’s Orphanage in Akobo on 16 November 2020. The programme was organized with the assistance of the Relief, Reintegration and Protection Section in UNMISS Bor. By accepting the invitation of the Contingent Commander, Group Captain Senaka Kulathunga, Ms. Deborah Schein (Head of Field Office - Sector East) graced this occasion as the Chief Guest.
In addition, Mr. Jamuth Yuot Dak (County Commissioner of Akobo) and Mr. Beilduom Datuot (County Education Officer of Akobo) participated as a Special Guests of Honour. During the event, school equipment, stationery items, clothing items and dry rations were distributed.
