CHANGE OF COMMAND AT MINUSCA

The 6th Aviation Contingent deployed from Sri Lanka under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) took over command of the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit in Bria, Central African Republic on 25 November 2020.
The traditional Handing Over Taking Over parade was conducted where the Contingent Commander of the 5th Contingent, Wing Commander Kushan Wanniarachchi RSP and Bar handed over command to Wing Commander Sumeda Samarasekara RSP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), psc, the Contingent Commander of the 6th deployment. Following the parade, the administrative change of command took place at the office of the Contingent Commander.
