14 OFFICER CADETS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE COMBAT MARKSMANSHIP PHASE AT AMPARA

The Regimental Training Centre at Ampara conducted an advance training on weapon handling and firing for the first time for a batch which included 14 Officer Cadets from No 58 Intake of Officer Cadets. The 20 days long phase was successfully concluded on 30 November 2020 with remarkable scores and achievements by the Officer Cadets. The participants were initially taught contextures of theories and fundamentals of marksmanship followed by precision skills in M-47 (Emtan) CH-Pistol and CH-T 56 weapons concurrently with the lessons related to field craft and tactics.
This course of training was an initiation of the former Director Ground Operation, Air Vice Marshal WLRP Rodrigo and coordinated by Director Training, Air Vice Marshal MADP Payoe. The Closing Ceremony was held under the auspices of the Acting Commanding Officer SLAF Station Ampara, Wing Commander Ananda Kumarasiri.
