SLAF Fire Fighters at SLAF Base Katunayake were deployed early today in order control a sudden fire which came from a production factory located within the Katunayake BOI Zone.

A fire vehicle together with fire fighters from SLAF Base Katunayake were deployed for the operation and the fire was brought under control within the shortest possible time. Disaster Assistance and Response Team from SLAF Station Bandaranayake International Airport, Fire Fighters from Air Port Fire Brigade and from Colombo Fire Brigade also participated.
