COMMANDER ATTENDS AERO-INDIA 2021 (VIRTUAL)

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana attended for the inaugural session of the Aero-India 2021 (Virtual) held today (03 February 2021) at the Taj Sumudra Hotel in Colombo.
The Aero-India 2021 is a biennial Air Show cum Defence Exhibition organized by the Indian Ministry of Defence in order to create an international platform for world aerospace and defence leaders to exchange ideas and forge partnerships towards synergising their efforts. This year’s edition of Aero-India has been organized on a virtual platform due to the health restrictions of COVID-19.
The event was inaugurated today under the patronage of the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Gopal Baglay. The Minister of Public Security, Hon. Sarath Weerasekara also participated for the inaugural session. The Commander of the Air Force also presented the High Commissioner of India with a special memento to mark this occasion. The session was also attended by members of the Air Force Board of Management and Senior Officer from tri forces as well.
