A special awards ceremony was held today (11th February 2021) at AFHQ where four Officers and two Senior Non-Commissioned Officers received their Flight Engineer Brevets on completion of their respective training. The event was held under the patronage of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana and Director Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Andrew Wijesuriya also attended for the ceremony.

The Flight Engineers who received their brevets today had completed their respective training on Mi 17 Helicopters of No.4 Squadron and 61 Flight at SLAF Base Rathmalana, No 6 Squadron at SLAF Base Anuradhapura.
