In an effort to bring about excellence in financial reporting by preparing and presenting financial statements in compliance with Sri Lanka Public Sector the Accounting Standards. Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (APFASL) together with Ministry of Finance organized the Public Sector Best Annual Report and Accounts Awards Competition on 22 February 2021. This year’s competition was organized for the 4th time with strict adherences to health guidelines.

The Sri Lanka Air Force was able to secure the awarded for the Best Annual Report and Accounts in the public sector for the second consecutive year with respect to the financial year 2018. The event which was held at the BMICH was graced by Hon. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, the State Minister of Money and Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms.

On behalf of the Sri Lanka Air Force, the award was received by Wing Commander RR Somathilaka the Command Internal Auditor of the SLAF. The award was presented to the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana yesterday (23 February 2021) by Wing Commander Somathilaka at the Commander’s Office.
