COMMANDER DECLARED OPEN NEWLY RENOVATED “VIHARA SANNIPATHA SHALAWA” AT JAYA SRI MAHA BODHI PREMISES

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, declared open the newly renovated “Vihara Sannipatha Shalawa” yesterday (28 March 2021) at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi Premises. The Commander was accompanied by Mrs. Charmini Pathirana as well. The opening was done amidst pirith chanting being done by the Venerable Maha Sanga.
This meritorious project commenced in November 2020 with the financial sponsorship from Dialog Axiata PLC. The roof of the entire building was renovated and also colour washed by SLAF troops from the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake together with engineering troops from SLAF Base Anuradhapura as well.
Yesterday’s ceremony was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC, Mr. Supun Weerasinghe, Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Air Commodore Channa Dissanayake, a cross section of Officers and Other Ranks from Anuradhapura.
