A house constructed by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) was handed over to Flight Sergeant Rathnasiri MP. The House Warming Ceremony was held yesterday (01 July 2021) under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana at Gangaragolla, Udupussallawa. The previous house of this Senior Non Commissioned Officer was heavily damaged due to a landslide and thus the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit stepped in to provide him and his family with an entirely new house.

This Project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit while construction was carried out by SLAF Station Piduruthalagala. The overall project was completed under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Piduruthalagala, Group Captain MHMTCK Bandara.

The a few Officers and Other Ranks of SLAF Station Piduruthalagala and representatives from SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit were also present for the ceremony. The House Warming Ceremony was held in accordance with health guidelines which have been issued by the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
