The Handing Over/Taking Over Parade of SLAF Base Anuradhapura was held today (09 July 2021) where the outgoing Base Commander, Air Commodore S D G M Silva WWV, RSP, USP, MSc (Mil Stu), MSc (Strat Stu), BSc (Def Stu), Pg Dip (IR), fawc, psc handed over the command to Group Captain J M D R A P Jayamaha USP, psc, qfi.

The new Base Commander, Group Captain J M D R A P Jayamaha held the appointment of Base Commander, SLAF Base Vavuniya before being appointed to command Anuradhapura. The outgoing Base Commander, Air Commodore S D G M Silva will be proceeding on a training which will be beneficial for his future assignments in the Sri Lanka Air Force.
