The outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Morawewa, Group Captain HTH Dharmadasa RWP, RSP, USP, Pg Dip (Def Mgt) handed over duties to Group Captain DSMLK Sugathadasa USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc today (29 July 2021). Group Captain Sugathadasa held the appointment of Commanding Officer of the No 43 Colour Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake before being appointed to command SLAF Station Morawewa.

Group Captain Dharmadasa took over the command of SLAF Station Morawewa on 19 September 2019. He will be proceeding to Air Force Headquarters to take over the appointment of Staff Officer Ground Operations 1 at the Directorate of Ground Operations.
