The outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Iranamadu, Group Captain UPYR Pathirana RWP, RSP handed over duties to Group Captain DMR Dassanayake USP, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt on 30 July 2021. Group Captain DMR Dassanayake held the appointment of Staff Officer Ground Operations II at the Directorate of Ground Operations in Colombo before being appointed to command SLAF Station Iranamadu

Group Captain UPYR Pathirana took over the command of SLAF Station Iranamadu on 24 August 2019. He relinquished command of the Station and he will be retiring from the SLAF on a subsequent date.
