10TH PHASE OF GUWAN MITHUDAM PROJECT COMPLETED AT SIGIRIYA

The 10th phase of “Guwan Mithudam” project was conducted by SLAF Station Sigiriya today (03 August 2021) under the guidance of Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
The newly constructed water purification plant, funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit in collaboration with SLAF Station Sigiriya, was declared open by Mrs. Manjuma Weerasekara, the President Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Station Sigiriya on behalf of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit at the Diyakepilla area which was identified as one of the most rural areas of the Matale District. Approximately 60 families who are residing in this area had faced numerous difficulties due to unavailability of adequate drinking water and by providing this basic need of the people in the area which was made possible by the concept of “Guwan Mithudam”.
The event was witnessed by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Sigiriya, Group Captain Senaka Kulathunga, Officers and Other Ranks of SLAF Station Sigiriya.
