The SLAF Base Hingurakgoda conducted a blood donation campaign yesterday (20 August 2021) at the Base premises. The campaign was conducted in collaboration with the Blood Bank of the District General Hospital in Polonnaruwa under the guidance of the Base Commander, Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita.

The intention of this campaign was to donate blood to the National Blood Transfusion Service in order to cater the demand for blood during the prevailing pandemic situation in the country. The Base Commander, limited number of Officers, Other Ranks and Civilian Staff of the Base participated for the event.
