The Change of Command Parade of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake was held today (13 September 2021) at the Wing Premises. The new Commanding Officer, Wing Commander LAD Prasanna MSc (Def & Strat Stu), BSc (Eng), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), Pg Dip (Aero Eng - Elect), AMIE (SL), psc took over command of the Wing.

Wing Commander Prasanna the new Commanding Officer performed duties as the Chief Maintenance Engineer at Radar Maintenance Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake and was appointed as the acting Commanding Officer of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake on 01 August 2021 before taking over the command of the Wing. The former Commanding Officer, Group Captain DBV Weerasinghe USP, MDS, BSc (Def Stu), psc was posted out of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing on 02 August 2021 to take up the appointment of Commanding Officer, SLAF Trade Training School at Ekala.

During the parade, the new Commanding Officer highlighted the objectives of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing and emphasized on the importance of working collectively towards achieving organizational goals and requested the fullest support of all personnel of the Wing to uplift the standards of Avionics maintenance in the Sri Lanka Air Force.
