The Command Welfare Project Unit (CWPU) of the SLAF proudly marked its 12th Anniversary yesterday (19 November 2021) under the supervision of the Acting Command Welfare Project Officer, Group Captain ES Ponnamperuma.

The Anniversary proceedings commenced with a Cricket Tournament to develop the unity among all ranks and civil staff of all projects under the CWPU. Subsequently, an All Ranks Lunch was organized for all participants.

In line with the Anniversary celebrations, Dry Rations and other essential items were donated to Yasodara Devi Girls’ Orphanage in Attidiya and a sharmadana program was also conducted in view of uplifting the living standards. Further, all events were held with adherence to the health guide lines for prevention of spreading COVID-19.
