The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana participated for the Speedup Katukurunda 2021 which was concluded yesterday (05 December 2021) at SLAF Station Katukurunda.

Given the relative easing up of the restrictions, the Sri Lanka Automobile Sports National Council took the initiative to provide drivers and enthusiasts with the tarmac racing-meet after a lapse of almost two years. This years event was sponsored by SLT Mobitel together with the support of all ten member clubs, this is the first time that the governing body for motor racing in Sri Lanka is organizing an event at Katukurunda track.
