CHANGE OF COMMAND AT THE SRI LANKA AVIATION UNIT MINUSCA

The 7th Aviation Contingent deployed from Sri Lanka under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) took over the duties of the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit in Bria, Central African Republic yesterday (09 December 2021).
The traditional Handing Over Taking Over parade was conducted where the Contingent Commander of the 6th Contingent, Wing Commander Sumeda Samarasekara RSP, MSc(Def & Start Stu), psc, handed over command to Wing Commander PS Liyanarachchi RWP, RSP and four bars, MSc (Def & Start Stu), BSc (Def Stu), Pg Dip (Con & Pea Stu), psc , the Contingent Commander of the 7th deployment. Following the parade, the administrative formalities on the change of command took place at the office of the Contingent Commander.
