The Badges and Certificates Awarding Ceremony of the No. 04 EOD Instructor, No. 41 Officers, No. 04 Foreign Officers, No. 57 Airmen and No. 32 Navy Personnel EOD Basic Courses was held yesterday (17 December 2021) at the Parade Square of SLAF Station Palavi. The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal Dilshan Wasage USP, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, Pg Dip (IR) graced this occasion as the Chief Guest.

The parade comprised with 03 SLAF Officers, a Zambian Air Force Officer, 03 SL Navy Officers, 10 Instructors, 17 Airmen and 03 SL Navy Sailors. During the ceremony 37 trainees received their certificates and badges to mark the successful completion of their EOD Training.

Flight Lieutenant SDD Ramanayake was adjudged as the Best All-Round EOD Instructor, Lieutenant Commander DJKS Siriwardana was adjudged as the Best All-Round EOD Officer from all Officers and Leading Aircraftman Ekanayake EMDM was adjudged as the Best All-Round Airman.
