SLAF Regiment troops based at the Trikonamadu, Commanded by Squadron Leader Vajira Senadeera, captured more hidden munitions from the general area of Wellamullawaikkal, Pudukuduirippu.

It is suspected that these weapons were kept ready to use against SLAF since the cache comprised of 12.7 mm Ack Ack, 23mm twin barrel Tzu  and 40mm L 70 ammunition  which are all anti air craft gun ammunition.   

The recoveries were made after SLAF Intelligence personnel obtained the assistance of rehabilitated ex LTTE cadres. Pilot Officer PSDD Rupasinghe conducted the clearance operations.
