A SPECIAL DONATION PROGRAMME BY SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT AT “AMILASIRI GILAN BIKSHU ARAMAYA”

Inline with the 71st Anniversary of the SLAF, a Special Donation programme was conducted today (01 March 2022) at “Amilasiri Gilan Bikshu Aramaya” at Avissawella under the guidance of Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshna Pathirana and Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
“Amilasiri Gilan Bikshu Aramaya” is an institution which provides treatment and care taking with minimum infrastructure facilities for ailed and aged Buddhist monks. A total of 38 ailed Buddhist monks are being care taken at present.
SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit donated a new Washing machine, Mattresses, Mobility equipment, Dry Rations, Bedding and Sanitary Items.
The Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by Secretary Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Suresh Fernando and the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.
The event was held in accordance to the prevention of COVID-19 health guidelines.
