SLAF Target Double Gold at National Archery Championship 2010

SLAF archers clinched 2 Golds, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals at the 11th National Archery Championships held on 4th and 5th December, 2010 at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
Demonstrating the sheer skill and dedication required to excel in the sport, the airmen and women did the SLAF proud by being placed in the Open and Team events as well as the prestigious FITA Olympic ranking event.
AC Seneviratna NS was the first to strike Gold with the arrow, winning the Men’s Open event. In the Women’s FITA Olympic ranking event, Air Woman AC Salgado DLP delivered an exceptional performance with a stellar target range of 70m and won the SLAF its second Gold medal.
The Team of female archers who competed in the championship also did well to secure Silver in the Women’s Team event. Minister of Transportation Hon. C.B. Rathnayaka was Chief Guest at the event.
