SECRETARY TO THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE CONVEYS GREETINGS TO THE SLAF

SLAF celebrated its 71st anniversary on 02 March 2022 and Secretary to the Ministry of Defence General Kamal Guneratne (Retd) extended his greetings on the occasion to Commander of the Air Force and to all Members of the SLAF.
General Guneratne (Retd) commended that “As the brave Officers, Airmen and Airwomen of the Sri Lanka Air Force contributed at an immense level to achieve peace and to preserve the National Security in the country during many instances, predominantly during the three decade long conflict, with the exemplary exploitation of nation’s Air Power capabilities; their current stimulus on sustaining peace and stability of our beloved motherland is equally vital to the country’s journey towards sustainable development and emergence as a secure, bountiful nation in the world. In this context, the Sri Lanka Air Force contributions to the efforts exerted by the National Security apparatus of Sri Lanka for the said endeavors are to be distinguished at a colossal level at this significant juncture where it celebrates its 71st Anniversary with pride and dignity”
