The Change of Command of the No. 01 Leisure and Recreation Wing Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay was conducted today (06 March 2022).

The traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade took place at the No. 01 Leisure and Recreation Wing Headquarters where the outgoing Commanding Officer Group Captain BWDNM Samarakoon USP, MHRM, BA (Def Stu) handed over command to Group Captain SV Premawardane USP, MSc (SMgt), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), MISMM, XF. Group Captain BWDNM Samarakoon will be proceeding to Air Force Station Sigiriya where he will be assuming duties as the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Station Sigiriya.

Group Captain SV Premawardane previously held the appointment of Staff Officer Procurement (Tender and Construct Management) at Procurement Division SLAF Station Colombo before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of the No.01 Leisure and Recreation Wing Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay.
