The No. 02 Air Defence RADAR Squadron celebrated its 16th anniversary today (10 March 2022) with a series of activities under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander DRT Mallawaarachchi.

A ‘Bodhi Pooja’ was conducted at Sri Shayila Bimbarama Temple Irattaperiyakulam and a ‘Kovil Pooja’ was conducted at the Kovil inside the Base to invoke blessings on past and present members of the Squadron as well as the SLAF.

Concurrently, renovation and Shramadana campaign was held at Medical Officer of Health Office (MOH) of Alagalla area by the Squadron personnel.

The formation day parade was reviewed by the Commanding Officer and a cricket tournament was organized with the participation of all personnel in the Squadron in order to enhance the mutual relationships of both officers and airmen.
