The No. 1 Air Defence Radar Squadron (NO 01 ADRS) at SLAF Base Katunayake celebrated its 16th Anniversary yesterday (11 March 2022) under the supervision of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain DNS Halahakoon. The Radar Squadron was established on 10 March 2006.

The anniversary celebration commenced with a parade held at the Squadron premises which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer. A distribution of dry rations and sanitary items donated by all ranks of the Squadron was carried out to a family in need located in a close proximity to the Air Force Base.
