High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Sri Lanka celebrated the 81st National Day of Pakistan at the Shangri La Hotel, Colombo under the patronage of Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Colombo, Major General Umar Farooq Burki (Retd), yesterday (29 March2022).

Minister of Trade Hon. (Dr) Bandula Gunawardene graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.  Pakistan’s High Commissioner addressed the gathering by emphasizing the cherished long existing bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Speaker of the Parliament, Ministers, Parliamentarians, members of the diplomatic corps, Secretary to the Ministry of Defenece, General Kamal Guneratne (Retd), Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva and distinguished invitees were present at the occasion.
