SLAF RUGBY PINS DOWN ARMY AT Havelock Grounds

The Eagles thrashed the Soldiers and shifted to a critical victory scoring 27 points against Army Sports Club at Havelock Grounds Colombo during the Sri Lanka Rugby XVs Inter-club ‘A’ Division Rugby tournament held today (01 April 2022).

SLAF led during the first half 15-08 with 02 tries, 01 penalty and one being successfully converted. Nuwan Perera made the first penalty kick including a conversion and Parakrama Rathnayaka drew 02 triumphs within the first half, giving SLAF well deserved dominance. SLAF 2nd half and kept the pressure on Army SC by bringing the score at the last whistle 27-20 in favor of the  Eagles with another triumph made by Parakrama Rathnayaka and a Penalty Try.

The victory against Army SC brings SLAF to the battle round for the ‘Plate’ of the Sri Lanka Rugby XVs Inter-club ‘A’ Division Rugby tournament.
