THE RENOVATED PLAYGROUND AT KEBITHIGOLLEWA CENTRAL COLLEGE VESTED TO THE STUDENTS

In conjunction with the Kanugahawewa model village project, another promising task accomplished by the SLAF in renovating the playground at Kebithigollewa Central College under the guidance of Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana. The newly renovated playground at Kebithigollewa Central College was vested to the students yesterday (05 April 2022) with the participation of officials of SLAF, Urban Development Authority and Educational Department Authorities at Kebithigollewa division.
Kebithigollawa Central College is a prominent school in the area which facilitates education for 2000 students at present. The necessity of a well-developed playground was existed for a long period and newly refurbished playground provides ideal platform for sports and recreational activities. The project consisted with renovating the drainage system along with attractive landscaping.
The Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Group Captain Pradeep Piyarathne, Director (North Central Province) - Urban Development Authority, Mr HW Somarathna, Principal of the College, Mr UB Kumarasinghe, cross section of officers and airmen at SLAF Base Vavuniya participated for the vesting ceremony.
