Celebrating an year’s camaraderie, SLAF Station Katukurunda held its annual children’s party and family get together on 14 December, 2010 at the camp sports ground.

The evening filled with fun and celebrations provided both service personnel and civil staff of the station to meet each other’s families. They were able to interact at leisure amidst festivities whilst entertaining their offspring and bringing smiles of joy to the children’s faces.

The get together included some spectacular activities for the participants both young and old, with a whole range of games, pony  rides and an impressive fireworks display later in the evening. Food and drinks were galore with snacks, ice cream being enjoyed by children to their heart’s content.

Musical accompaniment was by the SLAF Beat group who added colour to the event with their performance and were joined by a dance troupe also from SLAF.
