The Awarding Ceremony of Air Crew Qualification Insignia was held today (10 June 2022) at Air Force Headquarters  where the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana graced the event as the chief guest. Accordingly, Flight Engineer, Load Master, Air Gunner and Air Surveillance Brevets were awarded to the individuals who qualified from the respective training courses.  
 
The awardees who received the Flight Engineer Brevets completed their training in No. 02 Squadron at SLAF Base Katunayake and No.06 Squadron at SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Load Master Brevets awardees had completed their training at SLAF Base Katunayake, airmen who awarded with  Air Gunner Brevets had completed the No.14 Basic Air Gunner’s Training Course on MI 17 and Bell 212 Helicopters at SLAF Base Hingurakgoda whilst the airmen who received Air Surveillance Brevets completed their respective trainings on B-200  and Y- 12 aircraft at No 03 Squadron SLAF Academy China Bay successfully.

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Dushyantha Ratnayake, Director Ground Operations, Air Vice Marshal Janaka Amerasinghe, Director Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Prasanna Ranasinghe, Director General Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Ranjith Senanayake, Director Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Prasanna Balasooriya and Director Logistics, Air Commodore Nishantha Thilakasinghe also attended to the ceremony.
