464 Men and Women Pass out from Diyatalawa

A total of 464 trainees from the No. 147th Regular Airmen Recruit Course and No. 22nd Volunteer Airwomen Course passed out yesterday (16th December 2010) after completing 16 weeks of Ground Combat Training.

They received training in Drill, Weapon training, Field craft, Tactics, Map reading, Air Force law, Air Force Organization and Administration. They have also been given the required knowledge on field first aid and human rights as well,
    
The Parade was commanded by Wing Commander Anurudda Wijesiriwardana (Officer Commanding Training), Parade Adjutant was Flying Officer RCN Ranneththi (Training Wing Adjutant) and Parade Warrant Officer Flight Sergeant Kandambi.
 
The Chief Guest was the Commanding Officer, SLAF Station Colombo Air Commodore Vijitha Gunaratne graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer SLAF Station Diyatalawa, Group Captain Lanka kodippili was also present.



Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
