35TH PHASE OF “GUWAN MITHUDAM” PROJECT CONCLUDES AT PALALY

The 35th phase of “Guwan Mithudam” project was successfully completed at Palaly North, Anthonypuram area yesterday (11th July 2022) by the SLAF Station Palaly under the guidance of the Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
An infrastructure development project was executed to fulfil the requirement of clean water to utilize for the residents in Anthonypuram, Palaly North since they had faced numerous difficulties to obtain a clean water facility for washing and bathing purposes. The dilapidated well which is the main source of water was renovated by constructing separate bathing and washing areas. This project benefitted approximately 20 families in the area. The facility was handed over to the public by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palaly, Group Captian Vajira Senadheera.

The project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit along with SLAF Station Palaly. A cross-section of officers and other ranks of SLAF Station Palaly, President of the Fisherman’s Society of Anthonypuram and the residents of the area attended to the occasion.
