SLAF Station Palaly Holds Children Party

SLAF Station Palaly held its first Children party in recent history along with the Annual Get together on 21 December 2010 with a fun filled evening for children and the families of the Service personnel and civil staff.
Group Captain Athula Kaluarachchi graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Ceremony commenced with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp by the Station Commanding Officer, Commanding Officer of the No.22 Regiment Wing, Station Warrant Officer and few other guests.
The event was commenced with the Traditional Jaffna “Molam” music with fancy dance’s which gave new experience and entertainment to children and families.
The evening was filled with some spectacular activities for the participants both young and old, with a whole range of games, drama,dance and colorful fireworks. The celebrations drew to a close with the much anticipated arrival of Santa Clause who distributed presents to the children adding colour to the evening. Musical accompaniment was by an Army Calypso band and the SLAF Beat Group who added colour to the event with their performance and were joined by a dance troupe also from SLAF.
