The Inter Unit Handball Championship 2022 was held at Rifle Green Ground SLAF Station Colombo and grand finals at Health Management Centre Thummulla from 15 August 2022 to 19 August 2022. The Director Ground Operations, Air Vice Marshal AJ Amerasinghe graced the Awarding Ceremony as the Chief Guest. The President Sri Lanka Handball Federation, Mr Upali Rajapaksha, Chairman SLAF Handball, Air Vice Marshal JP Balasoorya, members of the Air Force Sports Council, senior officers and other ranks of the SLAF participated to witness the final sessions.   

The overall Women’s Team Championship was secured by SLAF Academy Chinabay whilst SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa became Runner-Up. The Men’s Team from SLAF Station Colombo emerged as the Champions in the men’s category whilst the team from SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni concluded the tournament as Runners-Up.
