Assuming of the Command of No 10 Fighter Squadron at SLAF Base Katunayake was held today, (22nd August 2022) where Wing Commander KGRI Perera WWV and bar, RWP and two bars, RSP and bar, MMS (Mil Com-RPC), psc, qfi who overlooked duties as the Commanding Officer of the Squadron handed over the command to Wing Commander WMTGPS Wijekoon WWV, RWP, RSP, psc, qfi at the Commanding Officer’s Office at the Squadron.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer expressed his vision for the future of the Squadron during his inauguration speech and much-admired the commendable contribution of Wing Commander KGRI Perera towards the Squadron during past years.

Wing Commander WMTGPS Wijekoon previously held the appointment of Directing Staff Air at Defence Services Command and Staff College.
