NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS’ MANAGEMENT SCHOOL CELEBRATES 22ND ANNIVERSARY

Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management School at SLAF Academy China Bay proudly celebrated its 22nd anniversary today (01 September 2022) under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander RND Senadheera. The celebration commenced with the address to all the ranks by the Commanding Officer.

The Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management School is a prominent training formation that is mainly dedicated to develop leadership and managerial skills of the Non-Commissioned Officers there by enabling them to work efficiently to achieve predetermined objectives of the Air Force and other sister services. So far, the school has produced more than 6000 Air Force Members, 60 Army Members and 108 Navy Members during the past. This school demarcated a landmark in the history during the year 2022 by inducting foreign students at the very first time for the English Medium Course. As of today, 02 Maldivian students have successfully completed while 02 Pakistan and 01 Zambian student are following the ongoing Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management Course.

This school imparts knowledge to perform well in the respective services educating service administration, management, leadership skills, presentation skills, customs, etiquettes and social responsibilities. Also the trainees have been awarded with a certificate of management conferred by the University of Rajarata.

The 22nd Anniversary celebration was marked by tree planting programme and a Community Service Project at “Sri Siddhartha Vidyalaya” Trincomalee through the voluntary contribution of the Officers, Instructors and the trainees.
