COMMANDER OF THE AIR FORCE MAKES A FORMAL VISIT TO SLAF STATION AMPARA

Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana made a formal visit to SLAF Station Ampara yesterday (03 September 2022). The Commander was accompanied by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Ampara, Group Captain Nishantha Priyadarshana. The Commander made random visits to the station's Agro unit, Regiment Training School and Airmen’s Mess to inspect the standards maintained and the progress of the development of each formation at the Station.
Afterwards, the Commander interviewed a cross-section of service and civil personnel randomly aspiring to scrutinize the matters on welfare, working environment, infrastructure facilities and quality of life before the next visit.
Eventually, the Commander visited the reconstruction site at sacred Neelagiri Maha Seya to review the construction progress and made a discussion on the groundwork yet to be completed at the project, before completion of the formal visit.
