SLAF Mullativu Cricket Champions

SLAF Mullativu emerged Champions in the Carlton Sport Festival’s Cricket tournament organized by “Tharunyayata Hetak” for the teams of SF HQ Mullativu.
The finals were worked out between SLAF Mullativu team and SF HQ Mullativu at the Oddusudan school grounds on 28th December 2010.
Batting first under wet and soggy conditions, the SLAF team was restricted to 65 runs in 10 overs. In reply SF HQ team was bowled out for a mere 56 runs enabling the SLAF team to carry away the trophy.
The awards ceremony was held at the Wellamullawaikkal School ground where the Chief Guest, Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera handed over the trophy to the SLAF captain Corporal Chathuranga. The organizer of the Tharunyayata Hetak Organization, MP Namal Rajapaksha, and Minister of Sport Mahindananda Aluthgamage were also a part of the distinguished gathering.
