The newly constructed “Lagoon Breeze” Officers’ Holiday Home at SLAF Station Batticaloa was declared open by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana on a virtual platform today (05 October 2022).

The holiday home consists of a living room adjoining a dining area and three air-conditioned bedrooms with attached bathrooms with hot water facilities including a kitchen and a caretaker room with sanitary facilities.

The construction of Lagoon Breeze Officers’ Holiday Home was undertaken by the Civil Engineering staff of the Civil Engineering Wing SLAF Base Katunayake. The Acting Commanding Officer SLAF Station Batticaloa, Wing Commander Chandana Munasinghe, all officers and a limited number of airmen attended for the opening ceremony.
