The Change of Command of No. 3 Leisure & Recreation Wing SLAF Base Katunayake held yesterday (05 December 2022). The traditional handing over/ taking over parade was conducted at the Banquet Hall premises where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain NA Gallage USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), BA (Def Stu), psc handed over the command to Wing Commander  RSANE Rajapakshe USP, MLRHRM, BSc (Mgt), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), MIM (SL), psc.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain NA Gallage , took over the Command of No. 3 L&R Wing SLAF Base Katunayake  on 25 March 2021 and will be proceeding to Air Force Headquarters to take over the duties as Staff Officer Personal II at the Directorate of Administrations.
 
The new Commanding Officer, Wing Commander RSANE Rajapakshe previously held the appointment as Officer Commanding Personnel Service at the SLAF Base Vauniya before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of No. 3 L&R Wing SLAF Base Katunayake.
