SLAF CHOIR DECORATES THE LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM AT PRESIDENTIAL SECRETARIAT

A special Christmas Carol Programme organized by Sri Lanka Tourism along with Armed Forces and the Police in the Presidential Secretariat premises was commenced on 18 December 2022. The SLAF Christmas Carol was staged yesterday (22 December 2022) making the eve with much pomp and splendor.

Regardless of ethnicity, gender or religion, a large audience gathered in the vicinity of the Presidential Secretariat and Galle Face Green in the capital allowing the general public a chance to rejoice in the seasonal spirit. A thrilling Air Dog Show and a spectacular SLAF Band performance were showcased at the venue prior to the commencement of the Christmas carols, creating an eye-catching site throughout the evening.

Chief of staff to the President and Senior Advisor to the President on National Security Hon. Sagala Rathnayake attended to the starry evening along with the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana. The event was conducted under the close supervision and tireless effort  made by the Director General Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Ranjith Senanayake, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Suresh Fernando and Director Performing Arts, Group Captain Lalith Sugathadasa. The enchanting Choir was led by Squadron Leader Gayan Joseph as the Choir Master and the event was hosted by Squadron Leader Radika Ranaweera and Squadron Leader Lilangi Randeni.
