The 71st National Lifesaving Championship – 2022 was organized by the Sir Lanka Lifesaving Association and was held on 23 and 24 December 2022 at Police Swimming Pool Complex - Narahenpita and Lifesaving Headquarters - Mount Lavinia.

The Air Force Women’s Lifesaving Team was able to smoothly cruise through events against other competitors in the tournament and became victorious in the 71st National Lifesaving Championship 2022 in Women’s Category. The SLAF Men’s Team secured the overall 2nd runner up and SLAF Men and Women Lifesavers bagged 04 Gold, 13 Silver and 05 Bronze medals at the Championship.
