The Acting Commanding Officer Group Captain DSC Fernando RSP and two Bars, USP, Pg Dip (LRHRM) handed over the Command of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Mirigama to Group Captain SR Jayaratne WV, WWV, RSP, USP, MMS (Mil Com-PRC), BSc (Def Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc, qhi today (07 January 2023). The traditional “Handing Over/Taking Over parade” was held at Station Sports Ground premises.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer, Group Captain SR Jayaratne previously held the appointment as the Commanding Officer of No 07 Helicopter Squadron at SLAF Base Hingurakgoda before being appointed as the Commanding Officer.
