The Ground Training Wing at SLAF Academy China Bay proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary yesterday (13 January 2023). The celebration was conducted with the customary Working Parade at the Ground Training Wing premises with the participation of all Officers and Instructors.

This Training Wing was initially established as the Combat Training School on 13 January 1993 and subsequently changed its name to Ground Training Wing on 15 July 2013.The Ground Training Wing has been commanded by 27 Commanding Officers so far and is presently commanded by Group Captain HMC Herath.
